Email tanmaykharshikar@gmail.com. Barwright is made by one person, so replies take a day or two rather than minutes.
If you are reporting something going wrong, these three things make it far more likely to get fixed quickly:
- Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
- The Barwright version, at the bottom of the app's Settings tab
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead
Things that are not where people look for them
A few of Barwright's most useful controls are long-presses or row accessories rather than visible buttons. They are listed here because they are genuinely easy to miss.
- Plate calculator and warm-up ramp — long-press any weight field in a set row.
- Set type (warm-up, drop set, failure, back-off) — tap the # index badge at the left of a set row.
- Why a weight was suggested — tap the violet badge on the first set row.
- Exercise details and history — in the exercise picker, tap the ⓘ at the row's right edge. Tapping the row itself selects the exercise instead.
- An exact rest duration — tap the body of the rest pill, not the ±30s buttons.
Common questions
I paid on another device — how do I get Pro back?
Open the paywall from Settings → Barwright Pro and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with. Barwright never stores your purchase status on disk; it re-checks with the App Store every launch, so a restore is always the fix.
Where is my training data?
On your iPhone, and in your own iCloud if you have iCloud Drive enabled. There is no Barwright account and no Barwright server, which also means there is nothing for us to look up on your behalf — we cannot see your training at all. If you are signed into iCloud on a new device, your history arrives on its own.
How do I get my data out?
Settings → Data → Export all data. The export is free, covers your entire history regardless of tier, and is a plain one-row-per-set CSV that opens in any spreadsheet. This works whether or not you have Pro, and it keeps working if you stop paying.
My import matched the wrong exercises
On the mapping screen, any name Barwright could not match is listed for you to resolve by hand before anything is written — nothing is imported until you accept the plan. If you have already imported, re-importing the same file will not duplicate the sessions: Barwright skips workouts it has already seen.
I cancelled Pro. Did I lose my history?
No. Barwright never deletes your training. Everything you created while subscribed stays readable and editable — routines beyond four, custom exercises beyond ten, every body measurement. What changes is that you cannot create new ones past the free limits, and browsing history is capped at 90 days again. Your export still covers all of it, and re-subscribing brings everything back immediately.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, or it renews. The lifetime purchase is a one-time purchase and has nothing to cancel.
I want a refund
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too — we cannot issue one. Use reportaproblem.apple.com. If the reason is something broken in Barwright, email us as well so it gets fixed.
How do I delete everything?
Deleting the app removes the local database. To remove the synced copy as well, turn Barwright off in Settings app → your name → iCloud before deleting, or delete the app's iCloud data from that screen afterwards.
Is the training advice safe to follow?
Barwright suggests weights from the numbers you log and nothing else. It does not know about your sleep, your stress, your injuries or your technique — you do. It is not medical advice. If something hurts, the app has no way of knowing that, and you should not defer to it.
